We must share the Gospel while we have an opportunity to do so because at some point our ability to tell others about Jesus will come to an end.
Jesus said this:
‘I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day;
the night is coming when no one can work.’ (John 9:4, NKJV)
I remember some years ago that a young Christian man, we will call him David, told me that his friend’s father, Richard, was in hospital suffering from terminal cancer. David had decided that he would go to the hospital to visit and share the Gospel with Richard but it was busy at work so he could only get away to visit the hospital the following week.
The day before David’s visit he received a call from his friend to say that his father had passed away. David was devastated; the opportunity to share the Gospel with Richard had been missed.
I don’t know about you, but David and Richard’s story motivates me to want to make the most of every opportunity to tell others about Jesus.
Fortunately there is still some daylight left for us to share the good news so order your Gospels today and sow the seed of God’s Word to as many people as you can before the night draws in!
